We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Y-PLAN project (Erasmus+ project no: 2025-1-CY01-KA220-YOU-000360453) — an initiative empowering young people to take the lead in shaping their cities and neighborhoods!
From September 2025 to August 2027, youth in Cyprus, Greece, Serbia, and Belgium will team up with urban professionals, local communities, and fellow young changemakers to imagine — and co-create — the future they want to live in.
What’s Y-PLAN all about?
Cities are changing fast — and young people deserve a say in how that future looks.
Y-PLAN gives youth the knowledge, skills, tools, and voice to:
- identify local challenge
- design solutions with their community
- make real improvements in their neighborhood’s public spaces
All while learning hands-on methods in urban planning, mapping, design, and advocacy.

What will young people do?
The project includes exciting activities across four countries:
- Training Program — Learn essential skills through 10 interactive modules on cities, design, GIS mapping, and community action.
- Youth Camp (Cyprus, 2026) — A one-week international experience to co-create ideas and prototype real solutions together.
- Local Co-Creation Workshops — Youth and communities work side-by-side to explore neighborhoods and design improvements.
- Urban Activations — Small, visible interventions to test ideas in public spaces and create immediate positive change.
- Replication Guidebook — A practical manual with tools, methods, and success tips to help youth replicate the process anywhere.
- Urban Archive & Advocacy — A collection of maps, stories, data & prototypes used to advocate directly with municipalities for long-term change.
Why it matters
Y-PLAN helps transform young people into local changemakers.
They won’t just learn about their city — they will shape it.
By strengthening youth participation in decision-making and building collaboration with local authorities, the project supports more inclusive, creative, and vibrant communities for all.

Get involved!
Whether you’re a young person, a community stakeholder, or a supporter of youth-led cities — we’d love to connect!
