Can you provide a brief overview of your background and journey? What inspired the creation of Solarise, and what milestones have you achieved so far (e.g., pilots, product developments, partnerships, funding, industry recognition, or market expansion)?

“At Solarise we are unlocking the future of solar sales, with AI proposals.” That’s our current mission, but the whole journey started from a much simpler idea: “Help people find out if solar is the right for for them”. So, Solarise was created at a renewable energy hackathon, by software engineers puzzled by the lack of automation in the solar industry. We were curious about where and how we can help, so we started from our own problem: we knew nothing about solar. How much it costs, does it pay off for our homes… so we built a B2C platform to help educate others with the same problem. We won 3rd place at the competition, ran the platform for a while, but we noticed another problem: people would come in, get their solar potential analysis, and had no way to actually make the transition. So we wanted to get solar companies into the mix, so people can both get informed about solar and make the plan a reality. We pivoted to a B2B website plugin powered by prices and products of real installation companies. And that’s what Solarise is now. A sales tool for solar companies, helping them convert more leads, while educating those leads on their solar journey. Since then we piloted with companies across Europe, started sales and gained clients in Europe, US, and Australia, and are now raising our first fundraising round. A very exciting journey, but many exciting things are yet to come.

You’re one of the winners of the BOOST: UFF Innovation Challenge. What motivated you to participate in the BOOST: UFF acceleration programme and how has the programme influenced your entrepreneurial journey?

Solarise has been part of many acceleration programs, earning both funding and mentoring. Having had positive experiences with such programs, we are always on the lookout for similar opportunities, but finding sustainability-oriented ones has always been a challenge. That’s why BOOST: UFF acceleration programme stood out to us. Its targeted support towards innovation for cities and a sustainable future was a chance for us to connect with other clean tech innovators and mentors with valuable expertise in growing and scaling such solutions. And we loved being a part of it. The workshops helped us shape our impact value proposition, and we came out with a much stronger pitch and understanding of how to phrase our offering. Plus, the people we met became great friends and supporters who continued enriching our journey even after the program ended. And with the Innovation prize providing a push in funding, we truly got a full-circle support to build what we love, better and faster.

Throughout the programme you’ve secured your first paying customer which is a very big milestone. What did that moment mean for your team and your product validation?

Getting first paying customers is a determining milestone for every startup. It’s the first real proof that you are building something that matters, because other people are willing to pay for it. With Solarise, our software required so much research and development, and building in silence because of the complexity of issuing accurate solar proposals automatically. Even though we did get loads of support from our pilot users who helped us shape the product, getting those first paychecks was a different kind of validation. It meant Solarise became more than a cool engineering project we believe in, it became a commercial solution to a real problem that the market showed a revenue-generating need for. So, yes. A very big milestone indeed.

Could you walk us through how your platform works? What are the benefits to the user?

Of course, there are two main parts of our solution, benefiting two types of users: solar companies and people interested in solar. Solar companies are our direct clients. They personalize Solarise with their colors, logos, products, and prices, and plug it into their website. Once it’s live on their website, people interested in solar can simply visit the website, enter their address and electricity use, and get a personalized solar proposal in seconds. This way, solar transition becomes transparent, with a clear value breakdown for every interested home or business owner. We help people find out if solar makes sense for their roof, and help companies instantly educate and qualify their leads with solar proposals that take a few minutes, instead of a few hours. Solar companies we work with saw 2-5x more leads and up to 30% increase in conversion simply by plugging Solarise into their website. That’s the power of providing instant personalized value to your customers.

And when you have people who understand solar and want to transition, and companies with smart tools needed to take care of all of that interests, that’s how you accelerate the whole solar movement. Here’s a video demo of the solution, it’s always best to show and not only tell.

What do you see as the biggest barriers to solar adoption today, and how does Solarise address them?

Definitely the lack of transparency and education. Right now it’s way to hard to get accurate information on how much solar costs and if it makes sense for your roof. That’s the first thing you have to know to even begin seriously thinking about going solar, yet to find that out you have to engage with solar companies, request a quote, wait a few days for somebody to call you or email you, and only then begin to gather insight into your solar journey. It’s slow and foggy for people interested in going solar, but it’s a big trouble for companies as well. They spend hours quoting solar for cold prospects who are just browsing and asking for informative offers, so they waste time on leads that never convert. Sadly there wasn’t a better way to do it. People need the answers to become serious buyers, so they had to wait for quotes from companies, and on the other side companies had to offer free quotes that definitely weren’t free to make. Now there is a better way, with Solarise. Solarise gives instant answers to interested people, helping them make the best decision. While companies get pre-qualified leads and stop wasting time on quoting the cold ones.

What’s next for Solarise? Are there new features, expansions, or partnerships on the horizon?

The one certain thing in this whole startup life uncertainty is that something is always happening and the horizon is filled with opportunities. We like to say that our product is done, because we spent so much time developing and testing it. But our goal is to add support for other renewable energy components (e.g. heat pumps, EV charges) and we also have a pretty cool ide on how to employ AI agents to open a whole other approach to solar sales. But more on that soon :). Our near future focus is also on forming partnerships with solar wholesalers and distributors, to help get Solarise onto as many websites as possible. We already talked to a few in Europe, and we hope to have first partnerships signed in 2026. Regarding expansion, we already started global outreach, so we hope to fully make use of the fact that Solarise can measure any roof, anywhere on Earth. Exciting things are definitely ahead.

How can solar companies find you and work with you?
