empowering youth and professionals to reimagine the built environment through sustainable, inclusive, and human-centered design, rooted in the values of the New European Bauhaus.
Description
The NEBA South Hub is a regional pillar of the New European Bauhaus Academy (NEBA), established to upskill youth and professionals in the built environment sector through accessible, high-quality lifelong learning. Rooted in the New European Bauhaus principles of sustainability, inclusion, and aesthetics, the hub supports the transition toward carbon-neutral, socially inclusive, and resilient cities.
Founded by IAAC (Spain), Cesefor (Spain), and Regione Liguria (Italy), the NEBA South Hub brings together a growing alliance of organizations across South Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean. The East Med Consortium, led by SocialTech Lab in partnership with SURF Lab (University of Cyprus), KARMA Mixed Reality Lab (Koç University), and Aks Creative Hub, joined the hub to strengthen regional representation and contribute expertise in urban innovation, technology, design, and community-driven practices.
The initiative is supported by the New European Bauhaus Academy and co-funded by the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) under Horizon Europe, advancing skills development, experimentation, and knowledge-sharing in the built environment across borders.
