Can you provide a brief overview of your background and journey? What inspired the creation of Peasy, and what milestones have you achieved so far?

The idea for Peasy came from a common frustration – spending too much time searching for parking in the city. We realized there was a clear opportunity to connect drivers with unused private parking spaces through a smart, data-driven platform. So far, Peasy has developed its MVP, launched pilot testing in Niš, and established early partnerships with local parking providers and property owners. We are now preparing for regional expansion and the integration of new features that make the parking experience even more seamless and sustainable.

You were one of the pitchers at the BOOST: UFF Demo Day. What motivated you to join the BOOST: UFF acceleration programme, and how has it influenced your entrepreneurial journey?

We joined the BOOST: UFF program to gain structured mentorship, network access, and validation for our business model. The program provided not only funding opportunities but also valuable insights from experienced founders and investors in urban tech and mobility. Through the accelerator, we refined our go-to-market strategy, strengthened our pitch, and gained clarity on customer acquisition. Demo Day was an important milestone, allowing us to present Peasy to a wider audience and receive direct feedback from the ecosystem. The experience accelerated both our product development and our confidence as a founding team.

Could you walk us through how Peasy works? What are the main benefits for both drivers and parking space owners?

Peasy is an innovative hardware-software solution that connects drivers with apartment owners who have private parking spaces. Through the mobile app, drivers can search available parking in real time, reserve a spot, and navigate directly to it – meaning the parking space waits for them, not the other way around. For apartment owners who do not use their parking during the day, Peasy offers a simple way to generate additional income without any effort. They just need to set when their space is available, and Peasy manages everything automatically – from booking to payment. Ultimately, cities also benefit: Peasy helps reduce CO2 emissions, ease traffic congestion, and enables municipalities to tax an existing resource that was previously untapped. It is a smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable approach to urban parking.

Urban traffic and CO2 emissions are major concerns in cities. How does Peasy help reduce congestion and environmental impact?

A significant portion of urban traffic – up to 30% in some areas – comes from drivers circling while searching for parking. Peasy directly tackles this issue by offering real-time visibility into available spots, enabling drivers to go straight to a reserved space. This reduces unnecessary driving, fuel consumption, and CO2 emissions. Additionally, by promoting the use of existing private parking infrastructure instead of building new lots, Peasy contributes to sustainable urban development. Our long-term goal is to integrate Peasy with smart city systems to support broader environmental and mobility initiatives.

What technologies power Peasy (e.g., AI, IoT, data analytics), and how do they enhance information accuracy and user experience?

Peasy combines IoT sensors, data analytics, and artificial intelligence. IoT devices monitor parking space occupancy in real time and automatically update availability within the app. Data analytics helps track user behavior and optimize parking distribution across the network. In the future, our goal is to introduce AI-powered dynamic pricing, which will consider factors such as location, demand, time of day, and local events. This will ensure fair, flexible pricing that increases space utilization and improves the user experience for both drivers and parking owners.

What have been some of the biggest challenges in developing and scaling Peasy, and how did you overcome them?

Our biggest challenges were balancing technology development with user adoption and infrastructure integration. Building a two-sided marketplace meant we needed to attract both drivers and parking owners simultaneously, which required strong community engagement and education. We overcame this through pilot programs, partnerships with local businesses, and direct on-the-ground support. From a technical side, ensuring real-time accuracy and reliable IoT connectivity was also challenging, but by working with skilled engineers and iterating quickly, we built a scalable system. Each challenge ultimately strengthened our model and team.

What’s next for Peasy? Are there any new features, expansions, or partnerships on the horizon?

Our next step is to expand Peasy beyond Niš and strengthen collaborations with local municipalities and parking providers. We are also developing new features to support local businesses – for example, allowing nearby cafés, shops, or services to promote special offers directly through the app when users park in their area. This way, Peasy not only simplifies parking but also stimulates the local economy and builds stronger community connections. In the long run, our mission is to make Peasy an integral part of smarter, more connected, and more sustainable urban mobility ecosystems.

How do you see the future of urban mobility and smart parking evolving in the next five years?

Urban mobility is moving toward full integration and sustainability. We believe parking will become entirely digitalized and connected with other transportation modes – from e-scooters to public transit. Peasy aims to be at the forefront of this transformation, bridging private and public infrastructure through technology. Over the next five years, smart parking will play a vital role in reducing congestion, improving urban livability, and supporting greener, more efficient cities.
